The 20th season of [[UGC]] [[Highlander]] began on September 26th, 2016 and will conclude on December 12th, 2016. Throughout the duration of the season, the matches are typically played on Mondays at 9:30pm EST - alternate times can be agreed on by team leaders.

== Important Information ==
===Season Format===
There will be eight regular weeks with three weeks of playoffs (two playoff weeks and a Grand Final). There will not be a holiday Bye Week for Thanksgiving and a rosterlock after the default match day of Week 6. North American Gold Division has been confirmed to make a return this season.

===Changes to NA Platinum Division===
North American Platinum Division will be limited to 8 teams playing in a 7 week Round Robin scheduling system. By week 7, the top 4 teams will get to play in a double-elimination playoff.

===Map Rotation===
The following seven maps have been confirmed to be in the rotation: Upward, Product, Borneo, Swiftwater, Steel, Lakeside and Ashville - the 8th map will either be Snowycoast or Millstone.
The order of the maps has not yet been released.

===Changes to the Whitelist===
While the final whitelist has yet to be released, it has been confirmed that the Razorback will be banned.

===Changes to the Rules===
In response to the changes from the Meet your Match update, Medics are now allowed to pick up dropped secondaries.
