The ETF2L Starting Cup was a cup that started before the first ETF2L season. The first 16 teams to sign up to the league would participate in this cup. There was an emphasis from the start in making the community decide what gamemodes and rules would be the best. Polls were made to decide the gamemode rules and map pool.[1] As a result of this, it was decided to use TFTrue to disable random crits, limit medic to 1, and have a general classlimit of 2. [2] This was also the first time the map bans in ETF2L were introduced.[3]
